Ok for costume jewelry December 18, 2008

I purchased a three stone Moissanite ring for my wife two years ago and six months ago two of the three stones became cloudy and dull. After contacting Charles and Covad, the makers of Moissanite, the ring was sent in to their independent "jeweler", he said the stones were chipped or cracked but they could replace the two stones for $385. The offer was declined and the money went toward a new diamond. My wife is not a construction worker and would suggest anyone looking at Moissanite use it for costume jewelry only and not day to day use. Either buy a diamond for daily wear or consider the cheaper costume CZ.
